A Big Shout-Out to the MATES of Hurstville! Do you have an hour to spare each week? We’re looking for a mate to share a weekly chat and a stroll with an older gentleman who lives in Hurstville for an hour or so. He’s enjoyed a full and happy life in both Australia and Greece, speaks Greek and English, and would love some company for a weekly walk and a good conversation about anything and everything. Just an hour a week can make a big difference in his life — and yours too! Located in Hurstville, so close by if you live, work or study in South Hurstville, Allawah and Penshurst. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
