We’re looking for a mate to share a weekly chat and a stroll with an older gentleman who lives in Hurstville for an hour or so. He’s enjoyed a full and happy life in both Australia and Greece, speaks Greek and English, and would love some company for a weekly walk and a good conversation about anything and everything. Just an hour a week can make a big difference in his life — and yours too! Located in Hurstville, so close by if you live, work or study in South Hurstville, Allawah and Penshurst. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
