About This Role The Simulation Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager (or delegate) and is responsible for performing all preventative and corrective maintenance on training devices in a safe and effective manner. The goal is to ensure maximum availability and reliability of training systems to support successful training outcomes for end users. As a Simulation Technician, you’ll be at the heart of aviation training technology, responsible for maintaining and repairing some of the most advanced flight simulators in the world. These include Level D full flight simulators - devices so realistic they’re certified to replace actual flight hours. You’ll work hands-on with complex systems like electromechanical motion platforms, immersive visual environments, and high-performance computing clusters. When something goes wrong, you’ll be the one to diagnose and fix it, ensuring pilots can train without interruption. Job Responsibilities: Execute all maintenance tasks efficiently as directed by the Senior Simulation Technician or Maintenance Manager. Ensure maintenance activities comply with internal standards and external regulatory requirements. Support site-based engineering development by assisting Senior Simulation Technicians with investigations. Perform supply support duties including stock takes, parts handling, ordering, receiving, and shipping. Handle parts shipping in accordance with export control and security protocols. Adhere to CAE’s Quality Management System and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Comply with CAE’s Environment, Health & Safety Management System. Demonstrate professional, disciplined, and safe behaviour in all daily operations.
