Building strong relationships with local businesses, tourism operators, and regional partners. Representing Council at networking events and forums, advocating for our region’s visitor economy. Collaborating across multifunctional teams including social planning, workforce development, and investment attraction. Driving innovative marketing campaigns and tourism projects that showcase our unique attractions. What You Will Bring A strong understanding of tourism trends and the visitor economy, ideally within a local government or regional context. Empathy and insight into business needs, with the ability to translate political and economic shifts into actionable strategies. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills – you’re transparent, inquisitive, and approachable. Experience preparing reports, business cases, and grant applications to support tourism initiatives. Confidence in managing projects A collaborative mindset and ability to work across diverse teams and disciplines. A proactive attitude – you take ownership, ask the right questions, and deliver with integrity.
