About the Job An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Service Manager to join a highly successful dealer group in the heavy vehicle industry. Our client is a major player, representing several leading truck brands across multiple branches in key regional locations. Reporting to the Dealer Principal, you will take the reins of the Service Department, overseeing a skilled team of approximately 10. This critical management role is focused on driving profitability, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining a supreme standard of workmanship and customer care for their key fleet and heavy vehicle clients. Key Role Responsibilities Lead and mentor a dedicated workshop team. Drive department profitability and achieve budget targets. Ensure minimal Work-In-Progress (W.I.P) and control warranty processes. Maximise technician performance and manage training compliance. Maintain exceptional safety standards and efficient workshop flow. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in a senior post-trade or managerial role. Solid technical background and knowledge in heavy vehicle mechanics (essential). Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills for customer and staff relations. High-level organisational and problem-solving abilities. Previous exposure to Trucks in a retail or wholesale environment would be advantageous for this position. Candidates who have experience with brands such as Kenworth, Volvo, Western Star, MAN, Mercedes Benz Trucks, Fuso, Iveco, Hino, Isuzu, Scania, Freightliner or similar are strongly encouraged to apply.
