With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Automation Developers to join the Digital Innovation department.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.   About the Role:   Be at the forefront of healthcare transformation as an Automation Developer at Northern Health. Your automation solutions will touch every aspect of our organisation â from streamlining clinical workflows and improving patient experiences, to optimising administrative processes and enhancing data-driven decision making.  Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement end-to-end automation solutions using Power Automate (Cloud & UI Flows) Develop and optimise UI Desktop Flows to automate legacy healthcare systems and repetitive clinical and administrative tasks Integrate automation workflows with various business and healthcare applications, clinical systems, and databases Extend automation capabilities by developing custom connectors and scripts using C#/.NET and Python Partner with clinical and administrative departments to identify high-impact automation opportunities that support Northern Health's strategic goals Provide documentation, training, and support for developed automation solutions   To be successful in this role you will have:  Extensive hands-on experience working with Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Automate Cloud and Desktop products Hands-on experience with UI Desktop Flows for automating desktop applications Solid understanding of API integrations and working with REST/SOAP services Expertise in establishing alerting, monitoring, and reporting for automation solutions Experience with database concepts and SQL in healthcare data environments Experience with other scripting languages (e.g C#/.NET, Python) to enhance automation capabilities Experience in designing scalable and secure automation solutions compliant with healthcare standards Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business and clinical needs into automation solutions The Staff Immunisation Questionnaire must be completed by all new employees as part of the mandatory on-boarding process.  New employees are not permitted to undertake any activity that requires patient contact prior to clearance by the Staff Immunisation Nurses; this also includes evidence of having the Flu vaccination on a yearly basis.  New employees with contra-indications to vaccinations or who decline vaccination are required to attend a face to face consultation with the Immunisation Nurses for appropriate documentation of their contraindications or declination. This must be completed PRIOR to commencing any work with Northern Health.  Experience 3 years of experience with RPA development, preferably using Microsoft Power Automate Demonstrated experience in healthcare IT environments or understanding of healthcare systems Experience implementing automation solutions in high-reliability organisations Background in integrating automation with healthcare specific applications highly desirable  Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences Detail-oriented with strong quality assurance mindset Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team Patient-focused approach with commitment to improving healthcare outcomes Strong knowledge of healthcare workflows and processes highly desirable   Next Steps . . .   If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
