Description Carpenter/Handyperson Location: Brisbane, Queensland Company: BGIS (Technical Services), Self Perform – Building Services Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-Site The Role We’re seeking a Carpenter / Handyperson to help keep one of Australia’s largest fuel retail networks operating smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work as part of a multi-trade mobile team, travelling to client sites in a company-supplied vehicle. Using your carpentry and maintenance expertise, you’ll complete remedial works to ensure sites remain safe, reliable, and customer-ready. Conduct scheduled site visits, inspections, and planned/reactive maintenance in line with BGIS standards. Work collaboratively with other trades and contractors to deliver quality outcomes. Liaise with clients and supervisors to ensure timeliness, safety, and compliance. Uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards at all times. Use company systems to upload job delivery and completion updates. Your Education, Experience & Skills Certificate III in Carpentry (preferred but not required) WHS Construction White Card Current Australian driver’s licence Australian Citizenship (required due to site access) WPCG accreditation or Fuels Retail experience (highly regarded) Working at Heights certification (desirable) Proven experience in residential or commercial maintenance environments Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Full working rights in Australia About BGIS BGIS Technical Services is the hands-on trades and maintenance division of BGIS — delivering safe, reliable, and efficient technical services for clients across Australia.
