Description Job Purpose An exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join our growing team and be part of the start up of our Fremantle Empty Container Park. The Operations Manager – Container Parks is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and cost-effective day-to-day operations of container park facilities. This includes managing container movements, yard planning, equipment utilisation, and employee performance to ensure high service levels for internal and external customers. The role ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements while driving continuous improvement in productivity and operational processes. Key Accountabilities Operations Meet/exceed agreed productivity and operational performance targets Manage labour and equipment running costs within budget Ensure customer requests are prioritised appropriately to meet business needs Maintain customer engagement AQIS & Depot Licenses Ensure all legislative and accreditation documentation is submitted in accordance with AQIS/depot license requirements Maintain AQIS/licensing records Coordinate fumigation & tailgate inspections People Leadership Accountability and responsibility for the performance management of all direct reports Coach, mentor and directly supervise employees Maintain employee productivity and engagement Safety Ensure compliance to Company Health Safety and Environment policies and procedures well as relevant Safety Legislation Ensure equipment needs and maintenance issues are resolved to ensure safety is not compromised Ensure incident reporting and investigations are completed and actions are closed in conjunction with HSE Qualifications, Skills and Experience The successful candidate will possess the following: Minimum 5 years container operations supervisor/team leadership role 10 years’ experience in empty container parks Knowledge of Container Park layout and optimisation/stack planning Extensive team leadership experience with demonstrated effectiveness in team engagement, cultural development and process improvement Ability to effectively liaise with shipping clients and customers Knowledge of WHS requirements and obligations Knowledge of quarantine regulations Experience with 1-Stop Supporting equality DP World is committed to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
