Description EDL owns and operates a global portfolio of power stations in Australia, North America and Europe. Our vision is to be the leading global producer of sustainable distributed energy. We are currently recruiting for an Operator Maintainer (Electrical) position to be based at the Pine Creek Power Station in Northern Territory. This is a Drive In Drive Out position based out of Darwin. The roster will be 8 days on 6 days off. The position will report to the NT Operations Supervisor. This position will also be required to provide support to McArthur River Mine Power Station and Jabiru Hybrid Power Station. EDL owns and operates a 28 MW CCGT power station at Pine Creek. The facility consists of 2 x Solar Mars Gas Turbines, 2 x Once Through Steam Generators and 1 x Peter Brotherhood Steam Turbine. The 24 hour operation is located approximately 225 km South East of Darwin. In this role, the successful applicant will be required to perform the following duties, but not limited to: Operating and maintaining gas fired and steam power generation equipment. Operating and maintaining High and Low Voltage power systems. Perform regular inspection and maintenance of above equipment to a high standard. Operating and monitoring instrumentation and process control systems. Monitor the power station process to ensure optimum output and security of supply. Must have requirements of role: NT electrical licence HV switching qualifications Power station experience Must live in Darwin or surrounding suburbs High safety values Current drivers licence Desirable requirements for the position include: Advanced boiler ticket Steam Turbine Operators ticket Gas turbine experience Gas qualifications i.e. Type B appliance/supervised gas fitter/supervising gas fitter Instrumentation qualification Controls experience Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised in remote environments. Troubleshooting and basic fault finding skills. Strong working knowledge of power systems and control circuitry. Knowledge and understanding of process operations in power generation plants. Demonstrated ability to work safely in a small team environment. Understanding of water chemistry and water treatment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo medical and background screening prior to commencement with EDL.
