Mandatory qualifications/role requirements: Possession of a tertiary degree relevant to the role such as social work, behavioural science or social science, criminology, or other recognised degree. Drivers' license: it is a mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position to hold an unrestricted "C" Class driver's licence. Officers are required to drive government vehicles as a part of their day-to-day work. This role is designated as Regulated employment as the position provides support services to children and young people and therefore will require a valid Blue Card to be linked with the organisation prior to starting. Caseworkers are required to be available to be rostered to attend Children's Courts convened on Saturdays and public holidays. While the position is based in Mackay, travel within the region for site visits and to other regional/departmental offices may be required in this role. This may include overnight stays. Where possible, applicants are required to provide a referee who is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who can attest to the applicant's background, knowledge, skills and experience as they relate to the cultural capabilities. Role specific/technical skills: * You have knowledge of and/or experience in the completion of assessments and provision of appropriate interventions to support the delivery of high-quality case management services for young people affected by domestic and family violence and possess knowledge of theoretical perspectives that relate to domestic and family violence and youth justice practice.
