$60 per hour inclusive of casual loading Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm Office based role only Port Botany Location Commencing ASAP - ONGOING ROLE - FULL WORKING RIGHTS REQUIRED We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Officer to support the day to day operations of our client's accounts team. The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of accounts support processes and have a high level accuracy with data entry, reporting and spreadsheet creation. The roles will be responsible but not limited to: Financial Oversee Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable: Bank reconciliations, Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoice processing, customer billings, debtor collection. Assisting Financial Controller with the weekly cashflow forecasting. Payroll: Ensure the accurate and timely processing of salaries, Payroll journal postings. Assist in the preparation of State tax obligations including Payroll tax, PAYG Withholding, Superannuation Guarantee contributions and Workcover. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse monthly P&L results to drive insights into company performance. Generate both management and external reports. 1.Ensure the completeness and accuracy for each month results - P&L and Balance Sheet Oversight & maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register, monitor asset movements in conjunction with depot manager to ensure accurate costing Review all monthly and quarterly returns prepared and lodged - including BAS/FBT/GST and Payroll Tax. Review the current accounting procedures and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and reporting frameworks. Assist with any & all direct/indirect taxation matters or queries. Month/Year-End Close: Lead timely and accurate closing, adjustment journal posting, reconciling P&L to trial balance, and addressing issues collaboratively. General Ledger : Ensure integrity and accuracy of the journal entries, reconciliations for balance sheet account such as prepayment, accruals, loan, etc. Internal Controls & Compliance: Maintain strong controls to comply with accounting standards, policies, and regulations. Follow the internal approval process. Assisting with audit preparation and liaising with external auditors.
