About the Project The Port Kembla Energy Terminal will play a major role in strengthening Australia's energy security as the nation's first LNG import terminal. You'll be part of an experienced, globally supported operations team committed to safe, compliant and efficient performance across this world-class facility. About the Role As the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Lead , you'll take ownership of day-to-day E&I maintenance activities across the terminal. Working closely with the Managerment team, you'll coordinate and perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and keep the facility's electrical and instrumentation systems running smoothly. You'll also guide and support trades, contractors and vendors working in the E&I space, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the required technical standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out and coordinate preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems. Perform inspections, testing, repairs and adjustments to ensure equipment reliability. Support and guide E&I contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with site procedures and permit-to-work systems. Prepare and update maintenance records in CMMS (SAP) Assist in developing maintenance plans and schedules, and provide input on materials and spare parts needs. Support commissioning and troubleshooting of PLCs, DCS, SCADA and control systems. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in all work practices. Skills and Experience Relevant Trade qualification in Electrical Instrumentation or other related discipline. Electrical licence and ability to work on LV/MV systems essential. 3 years' experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, ideally in Oil & Gas, LNG or heavy industry. Strong practical knowledge of field instrumentation, PLCs, DCS and SCADA systems. Familiarity with hazardous area work, safe isolation procedures and permit-to-work systems. Experience using CMMS (SAP advantageous). Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a hands-on, proactive approach.
