Education Facilities Officers are responsible for managing Repairs and Maintenance (R&M), Asset Renewal Program (ARP), Hazardous Materials, and related administrative tasks across education facilities in a designated ACT region. They coordinate planning and delivery of maintenance works, capital upgrades, and security arrangements, serving as the main point of contact for school infrastructure matters. The role requires strong knowledge of ACT Government policies, procurement guidelines, and relevant legislation. Officers report to the Assistant Director, School Infrastructure Management, and support both the Assistant and Senior Directors on project matters. Eligibility/Other requirements: Hold a relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management, or possess accreditation with a recognised professional body within Australia (e.g., Engineers Australia, Australian Institute of Architects, Australian Institute of Project Management). Hold a tertiary qualification in Building, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline. Demonstrate practical experience and in-depth knowledge in the planning, delivery, and oversight of building or infrastructure projects, including experience in project management, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement across complex or large-scale developments. Experience in construction lead tasks or Trade qualifications. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
