Role description: With a growing pipeline of diverse project work we have a new opportunity for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental Restoration (Contaminated Land) team in NSW. Joining a growing team, you will have the opportunity to take on projects independently while collaborating with our technical directors to deliver a range of medium to large scale projects both locally and nationally. Role accountabilities: Work across a broad range of contaminated land project types including public infrastructure and commercial/industrial Undertake contaminated site assessment, management and remediation projects including field investigations Have a strong understanding of NSW and national guidance pertaining to contaminated land management including contaminated land auditor scheme and risk assessment principles Take project management responsibility for current small to medium projects, with larger projects on the horizon including co-ordination of field investigations, sub-contractors and reporting Possess strong data management skills, with ESdat and ArcGIS experience preferable Undertake preparation of sampling plans, site investigation/validation reports and management plans to a standard suitable for submission to regulatory authorities and site auditors Work with national and multi-national clients Support business development through contribution to proposals and bids Take an active role in managing client relationships, both within the business and with key clients Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams and clients to ensure project integrity and success Mentor and develop junior consultants within the team Work independently with guidance from technical directors as required Active participation in industry bodies. Qualifications & Experience: First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You have a highly regarded base of contaminated land and environmental engineering experience in government and private sectors and come to us with: Tertiary qualifications in environmental (or other relevant) engineering, geology/hydrogeology or environmental science Extensive experience in contaminated land investigation, management and remediation, including PFAS Demonstrated experience in field investigation methodologies – various techniques for soil and groundwater sampling, soil logging, well installations, with ability to mentor and direct junior staff Ability to develop and communicate conceptual site models relating to contaminant sources, pathways, and fate and transport properties Fundamental understanding of state and national regulatory guidance Demonstrated success in project management delivering to budget and program Proven ability with technical aspects of proposal and report writing Experience in a consultancy environment and managing key client relationships.
