Description The Role The Facilitator will be responsible for training and assessing students enrolled in their courses, fostering a culturally safe and supportive learning environment that empowers participants to reach their protentional. This position is only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants in recognition of the importance of cultural knowledge, lived experience, and connection to community in supporting Bamara to deliver culturally responsive education and training programs. Assist students with understanding and comprehending course materials Assist with identifying local career opportunities and goals for students Ensure students are on track and progressing through their course work Assist students and provide a tailored way of explaining course material Assist students on boarding their course Upload and maintain documents and files required for course commencement and completion. Ensure that devices and course material are in working order prior to course commencement. Set up and pack up training area daily. Conduct provider engagement to drive referrals. Skills And Experiences Must pass and have a current Police Check (ongoing requirement for employment) Must pass and have a current Working with Children Check and/ or Vulnerable Persons Check (ongoing requirement for employment) Accreditation to deliver one or more of the following programs is Highly regarded: Deadly Thinking (Adult and/or youth) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health First Aid Cultural Awareness or Cultural Safety Training Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) Relevant vocational qualifications for the courses being delivered
