About the Opportunity William Clarke College is seeking dedicated and professional BAASC (Before and After School Care) Assistants to join our College Community on a casual basis. Reporting to the Co-ordinator of BAASC, you will be responsible for providing a high level of care to all children with our Centre and actively supporting the College's Christian ethos. Our BAASC Centre is open from 7am to 9am, and from 2:30pm to 6:00pm, five days per week as well as 7 weeks of school holidays each year when our Vacation Care service operates. The role requires direct responsibility for a group of Preparatory and Primary School aged children, assisting the Coordinator with planning and preparation of interesting, educational and fun activities, and a commitment to the safety, care and development of children at all times. This is a casual position About You Previous experience working in a before and after school care environment, or a Cer tificate III in Early Childhood Education will be an advantage Mature and confident approach to engaging with children of Primary School age Able to lead children through activities, meals and social interactions Focussed on child safety, child protection, transparency and accountability A flexible attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and work collaboratively within a team Good communication skills and a friendly persona Willing to work variable hours according to the needs of the service Actively support the College's Christian ethos The successful candidate will be required to hold or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check in accordance with Child Protection legislation Regularly practicing member of a Christian church What we offer Collaborative and supportive working environment Professional Development opportunities Freedom to create innovative learning and play based experiences Access to the Employee Assistance Program How to Apply If this sounds like you, click “APPLY” now!
