With a healthy pipeline of live projects and a growing commercial portfolio, we’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team. You’ll play a key role in driving the commercial performance of projects – ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and contract compliance while contributing to Kapitol’s reputation for excellence. Working alongside Project Managers, Site Teams, and Contract Administrators, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end financial management across live projects – from procurement and reporting through to final accounts. You will embody an Inspirational approach to work. What you’ll do: Prepare, assess, and negotiate progress claims, variations, and final accounts. Prepare and submit head contract variations and related documentation to clients. Assess, negotiate, and finalise subcontractor variations to maintain commercial accuracy. Support cost forecasting, budget control, and value management throughout project delivery. Conduct risk reviews and ensure compliance with commercial procedures and governance frameworks. Provide accurate, timely financial reporting and insights to the project team. Collaborate with Project Managers and Contract Administrators to maintain strong commercial performance. Participate in project reviews, identifying opportunities to optimise financial outcomes. What you’ll bring: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying or Contract Administration role within commercial construction. Sound understanding of cost management, subcontractor administration, and construction contracts. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail. Excellent stakeholder communication and negotiation skills. Highly proficient in cost management systems (e.g. Jobpac, Cheops, Excel, Bluebeam).
