NORSTA Maritime Headquartered in Cairns, Queensland, NORSTA Maritime is a sovereign Australian provider of maritime sustainment services. The company delivers compliant, scalable solutions in vessel maintenance, shipbuilding, and maritime logistics to Defence and commercial clients. Norsta supports Regional Maintenance Provider services from its Portsmith (QLD) facility, with a strong focus on local capability, veteran employment, and continuous improvement. Role This newly created executive role offers a unique opportunity to lead the financial and corporate services function for NORSTA Maritime. The successful candidate will assume full accountability for financial strategy, statutory compliance, and performance reporting across the organisation. Leading the development and execution of financial plans, policies, and reporting frameworks Overseeing commercial, operations Driving financial sustainability, risk management, and operational efficiency Managing relationships with auditors, insurers and financiers Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and team development Requirements The ideal candidate will be a commercially focused finance executive with: Extensive senior leadership experience in financial management within complex, service-oriented environments A proven track record in statutory compliance, financial strategy, and stakeholder engagement Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and exceptional communication skills Demonstrated success in leading high-performing finance and corporate services teams Expertise in budgeting, reporting, risk management, and financial systems (Dynamics365 Business Central desirable) A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline, with current CPA or CA membership J-18808-Ljbffr
