Perenti, Perth, Western Australia, Australia Principal Mining Consultant The purpose of this position is to provide technical and engineering solutions along with business improvement outcomes for our clients and stakeholders. This is a collaborative role requiring the use of technical mining best practice to deliver value for our new and existing customers. The role is based at our office in Perth CBD; ad hoc Australian and international travel is required. Key Responsibilities Act in the best interests of Orelogy, working within legislation that underpins the company’s operation and ensuring decisions align with Orelogy’s objectives. Ensure conduct is consistent with Orelogy’s values, policies, systems, procedures and statutory requirements. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including Perenti clients, client representatives, employees, management, and supplier contacts. Coach and mentor team members and support the development of career pathways. Participate in growth initiatives to support wider business objectives. Identify, recommend, and execute business improvement opportunities in line with industry best practice. Ensure all work under area of control is completed to a standard fit for purpose and meets end-user requirements. Advise on pit and/or underground mine design, scheduling, reserve estimations, cost modelling, and operational effectiveness. Provide study management, scope, budget, and schedule control. Key Requirements Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering (or the equivalent). First Class Mine Managers (FCMM) Certificate of Competency will be highly regarded. 10 years of in-depth technical and operational experience across different mining methods. Minimum of 5 years supervising teams. Technical report writing skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. High level of computer literacy with advanced capabilities in mining software such as Vulcan, Deswik, MineSight, Surpac or similar.
