The Role This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to oversee all aspects of an established flour milling operation in Northam, processing approximately 700 tonnes per week. Reporting to the region’s Manufacturing Manager, you’ll drive safety, quality, and performance outcomes across production, maintenance, warehousing, and administration. Key responsibilities include: Strategic and operational oversight of flour milling and packing operations Leading cross-functional teams across safety, production, quality, and warehousing Driving continuous improvement initiatives to further site performance Promoting a safety-first culture, maintaining the site’s strong safety track record Developing and maintaining key customer relationships including site visits and complaint resolution Contributing to site budgeting, financial performance monitoring, and compliance. About You Our ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in milling and a hands-on leadership style, capable of empowering teams and driving site performance. Other criteria include: Proven site or operations leadership in FMCG environments – preferably in flour or similar milling operations. Strong safety mindset, with demonstrated success maintaining safe and efficient operations. Excellent communication, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building skills. Exposure to Lean or Continuous Improvement initiatives. Experience overseeing multiple functional areas — production, maintenance, quality, warehousing, and admin.
