Responsibilities and Tasks: Interpret job specifications, drawings, and client instructions to determine surface conditions and scope of work. Prepare various interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and removing existing coatings. Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, platforms, and protective materials to ensure a clean and safe workspace. Mix and apply paints, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve the required finish. Assess and recommend suitable paint types, colours, and finishes according to client requirements and environmental factors. Use a range of painting techniques to produce smooth and precise finishes on walls, ceilings, trims, and other surfaces. Maintain painting tools and equipment, ensuring proper care, storage, and readiness for use. Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and uphold quality standards. Undertake both residential and commercial painting projects across Canberra and surrounding regions. Follow all company, safety, and environmental procedures to ensure safe and compliant work practices. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. Minimum 1 year experience as a Painter Strong surface preparation and painting skills. Knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques used in the trade. Attention to detail and quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $85,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
