In Newcastle, the coal division comprises five professionals, including technical and account management specialists. With upcoming retirements, this position has been created as part of a long-term succession plan to ensure continued technical excellence and customer service. About the opportunity This dynamic role involves managing technical relationships with coal industry clients while driving sales growth across New South Wales. The position combines on-site customer engagement with laboratory and administrative work, offering a balance of technical depth and business development. In this role, you will: Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits. Conduct technical testing and provide process solutions for solids-water separation. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the NSW coal market. Deliver accurate reporting, tenders, and technical recommendations. Participate in training programs and succession planning initiatives. You will receive full technical and sales training, including CSP and ACPS certification courses, as well as hands-on learning with senior team members. This position offers the chance to progress to Senior Account Manager and, longer-term, Area Manager of the coal industry in NSW. About you You will bring a technical background and a customer-focused approach, ideally supported by industry experience in coal or related processing sectors. To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: A degree in engineering (chemical, environmental, process, or metallurgy) or science. Experience with flocculants, coagulants, thickeners, and filtration systems. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites. Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing. Candidates with exposure to solids-water separation or experience in similar industries are encouraged to apply.
