An exciting opportunity is available for an energetic, reliable, and quick-thinking Administration Support Officer to join our Emergency Department team. In this busy and varied role, you'll be at the heart of our Emergency Department, providing crucial support to patients and staff in a fast-paced environment. You'll receive shift allowances for afternoon shifts, plus generous bonuses for weekend and public holiday shifts. Rotating 24/7 roster. Shift times are 07:00–15:15 | 15:00–23:15 | 23:00–07:15 (every second weekend). The Position: In this role you'll provide administrative support across the 24/7 Emergency Department, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate data entry. Key to this role is the provision of outstanding customer service to patients, families, and colleagues, with an approach that emphasises professionalism, approachability, responsiveness, and compassion. This position is worked over a rotating roster, featuring 7 shifts over a rolling 14-day period, including alternate weekends. Why should you apply? Key selection criteria: Excellent customer service skills with a professional, person-centred approach and the ability to consider activities, decisions, and outcomes from the perspective of the consumer or end user. Compassionate and confident communicator with well-developed written and verbal skills. Competent user of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to produce simple business documents and a demonstrated aptitude for learning new systems such as iPM and EMR. Reliable, energetic, and quick-thinking with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and remain effective in a busy 24/7 environment. Understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements and commitment to upholding these in all aspects of work.
