RINGWOOD LAKE INN Ringwood Lake Inn is located approximately 20 minutes east of the CBD, just off Eastlink, on the Maroondah Hwy, and is surrounded by the relaxing scenery of the Dandenongs and natural bushland. As part of our commitment to maintaining excellence in operations and guest satisfaction, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated Motel Manager (Resident) to oversee and coordinate all aspects of motel management. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing all day-to-day operations and functions such as directing and overseeing reservation, supervising reception, room service and housekeeping activities. Supervising various security arrangements, and garden and general property maintenance. Maintaining strong knowledge of hospitality trends and acting as a public relations representative for the motel and answering inquiries pertaining to motel policies and services. Approaching all guests in a professional and friendly manner, providing guests with local tourism information and helping guests arranging appropriate tours and transportation. Maintaining quality by enforcing service standards, assessing and review customer satisfaction and resolving occupants' complaints, if any. Planning and supervising bar, restaurant, function and conference` activities. Observing liquor and other laws and regulations. Monitoring overall revenue activities of the facility and overseeing accounting and purchasing activities. Responsible for selecting, orienting and training employees, monitoring workers' performance and maintaining proper motel records and employee documents. Managing motel safety programs and making sure that occupational health and safety regulations are complied with at all the times. The Role, Qualifications, Skills & Experiences A Diploma or higher qualifications in Hospitality Administration/Hotel/Motel Management Minimum two (2) years of full-time relevant work experience. Must be willing to live onsite (free accommodation provided), work weekends and public holidays and be available after hours for guest needs. Demonstrated management and leadership skills within the hotel/motel industry. Demonstrated experience in applying Occupational Health and Safety initiatives in a workplace. Sound communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively with business stakeholders, staff, and industry colleagues. Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate Computer, financial reporting and IT skills relevant to the operation of the Motel.
