As a Community Support Worker you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with disabilities to participate in community activities, develop social connections, and pursue their interests and hobbies. You will support clients in various setting, including recreational activities, educational programs and vocational opportunities. Please note: This role is a combination of long and shorter shifts, full availability for work required. Responsibilities Collaborate with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to create engaging support experiences Engage clients in meaningful activities that foster social connections and skill development Ensure a safe environment for clients and promote positive behaviour interventions Promote independence and empower clients to make choices Document client progress and report any concerns to the relevant team members Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations Remuneration: SCHADS Award - Social & Community Services $67,000 - $76,000 per annum Requirements Cert III in Individual Disability Support or relevant qualification preferred Current First Aid and CPR certification Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle required A current NDIS Workers Screening Card and a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) MAYBO, MHFA, Crisis Intervention or Alcohol/Addiction training highly desired Benefits Employee Assistance Program - Counseling Growth and Development through training opportunities Work for a Company that Values employees work-life balance
