Facilities Maintenance Technician $31.77-$32.77 per hour (assessed on qualifications) | Full Time Village Roadshow Studios, Oxenford Gold Coast The opportunity: Become an integral part of the Village Roadshow Studios team where no two days are alike. You’ll be assisting facilities maintenance across the studios. This role is not production related but is part of day-to-day maintenance of the site and offers variety, pace and new opportunities to apply your trade skills. Key Responsibilities: Step into a role where no two days are the same and every task keeps the studios running! You’ll be: • Supporting Facilities team with a variety of repairs, general maintenance tasks across studios site • Following workshop procedures, maintaining the workplace in a clean and organised manner to ensure a safe working environment • Carrying out day to day maintenance activities, including schedules and reactive PPM works • Able to work unsupervised • Liaising with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders in professional courteous manner • Basic computer skills and ability to use a tablet-based maintenance system to manage work orders, preventative maintenance schedules, defect reporting and communication updates • Perform general maintenance tasks, including patching, painting, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, exterior repairs, pressure washing, basic locksmithing, floor and door repairs, etc. • Contributing to a team-focused environment, promoting collaboration and a positive workplace culture • Ability to adhere to maintenance task lists to ensure quality and compliance standards are met • Able to assist in breakdowns and out of hours works when required • Knowledge of OHS and advantage What We’re Looking For: Bring your skills, licences and love for variety. You’ll bring • Proven experience in a trade related role e.g. carpentry, plumbing, building, grounds or facilities • Relevant Licenses and tickets - Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and Forklift licence highly regarded • Basic electrical safety awareness and understanding an advantage of safe work practices • Work at heights over 20m, and in a variety of environments, both indoors and outdoors. • Ability to maintain confidential information is essential • Good work ethic problem solver with attention to detail. • Able to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong communication skills, ability to follow direction. • Strong focus on safety quality and attention to detail • Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling and practical maintenance work • Facilities Maintenance experience, at hotels, resorts etc., an advantage
