We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Structural Steel Detailer to join their expanding team. Responsibilities and Tasks: Interpret architectural and structural plans ensuring all dimensions, materials, and specifications are accurate. Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project teams to resolve discrepancies or design issues. Prepare detailed fabrication and erection drawings for structural steel elements including beams, columns, stairs, and braces. Ensure compliance with building codes, engineering specifications, and surface protection requirements. Generate RFIs (Requests for Information) when clarification is needed from design teams. Utilize CAD and detailing software to produce, revise, and maintain drawing records. Estimate time, material quantities, and resource requirements for structural steel detailing tasks to support project planning and ensure efficient execution. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. Minimum 1 year as a Structural Steel Detailer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings. High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines. Proficiency with CAD or steel detailing software. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, solve problems under pressure, and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 - $90.000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
