Our Toowoomba NDIS team is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our 24-hour Supported Independent Living home and make a real difference. In this role, you’ll assist clients with daily living tasks such as grocery shopping, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment — all while supporting them to build independence, confidence, and achieve their personal goals. You’ll foster a positive, supportive atmosphere, creating meaningful, trusting relationships where clients feel valued, heard, and empowered every day. This exciting Support Worker role includes weekends, shift work, and sleepovers, offering variety, hands-on experience, and the chance to make a genuine impact in our SIL houses! Your Key Responsibilities: Supporting our clients in daily living activities and individual routines. Encouraging positive social participation and completing activities of interest with clients (craft, walking, and gardening). Completing household duties to maintain a healthy and safe living environment (including weekly menu planning and grocery shopping, meal preparation, laundry, and other cleaning tasks as required). Following mealtime management and specialised eating plans as per instructions for individual client requirements. Providing medication support and administration of medications. Completing case notes, recording information, and reporting any issues/incidents. Assisting clients to make appointments and managing clients' daily schedule. Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors as required. You will have: Diploma in a human services related field; or Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent and demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness Experience, or the ability to provide quality support to people with mental illness, helping them achieve their goals within organisational requirements. Strong interpersonal, communication, and record-keeping skills using office and mobile technologies, as well as access to a smart phone suitable for work purposes. Ability to work effectively in a team, contribute to a positive, collaborative culture, and reliably meet schedules, timelines, and defined outcomes. Open driver’s licence, access to a registered vehicle and smartphone suitable for work. Undergo criminal history screening and obtain and maintain a positive notice and Yellow Card pursuant to the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld) Why RFQ?
