About the role In this exciting role, the Project Manager, Road User Safety will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and evaluating strategic road safety initiatives for the TAC. It involves managing complex projects, applying behavioural science and critical thinking. Collaborating with stakeholders across local government and research sectors, you will drive impactful solutions for road safety, with a commitment to continuous improvement in line with our overall purpose of keeping everyone safe on Victorian roads. Supported by the Manager, Road Use Safety you’ll have the autonomy to own your work, with guidance and development opportunities to help you meet expectations, achieve goals, and grow your individual capabilities. What we’re looking for Road Safety Expertise & Safe System Knowledge This role requires significant experience in road safety and trauma prevention, with a solid understanding of the Safe System approach and its practical implementation. Leadership & Stakeholder Management Skills You will be a proven leader with experience managing teams (up to 4 direct reports) and high-level stakeholder relationships, including collaboration with organisations such as VicPol, Department of Transport & Planning and other government agencies. Strategic Data Analysis & Project Management Ability Advanced data analysis skills, ideally with road safety datasets are essential, along with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
