We're partnering with a national technology company at the forefront of logistics software to lead a 6-month AI transformation that will redefine how their products are designed, built, and delivered. They've built world-class software that powers cargo movement across Australia - now they want to embed AI across their SDLC , and they're looking for a transformation lead who can design the strategy, drive the adoption, and build capability that lasts . The Opportunity You'll report directly to the CTO and work across three product tribes (Engineering, QA, Product & BA). Your remit: assess the current SDLC, identify where AI adds real business value, and guide the organisation through a structured transformation that delivers measurable productivity and quality gains. This is not an execution role . It's a strategic delivery engagement for someone who knows how to bridge technology, people, and process. What You'll Do Conduct a current-state assessment across the SDLC and design a practical AI transformation roadmap. Identify high-impact use cases across software engineering, QA, product management, and business analysis. Partner with the CTO and leadership team to select tools, set metrics, and define success criteria. Lead proof-of-concepts and pilot programs, ensuring adoption is sustainable and measurable. Create the guardrails for responsible AI usage: governance, risk, and compliance included. Build capability within each tribe so the business continues to evolve long after your engagement ends. What You Bring 8 years in technology leadership with deep SDLC fluency and credibility across engineering teams. 3 years driving AI or ML transformation within a product or software environment. Proven experience delivering rapid (6-12 month) transformation programs that stick. Consulting mindset - strategic, pragmatic, adaptive. Strong understanding of AI tools, MLOps concepts, and product lifecycle automation. Outstanding communication and stakeholder influence from team level to C-suite.
