When you grow, we grow. The Ramelius Exploration team encompasses near mine resource definition and regional discovery exploration programmes across multiple mineralisation styles and lithology. Exploration programmes range from early stages soil sampling to advanced resource definition programmes surrounding the Mount Magnet and Dalgaranga operations in the Midwest and the Rebecca-Roe tenements located approximately 150km east of Kalgoorlie. The Role As Principal Exploration Geologist for the Dalgaranga project area, you will lead discovery across the highly prospective and historically proven mineral district surrounding the Dalgaranga mine. Based in the Ramelius corporate head office, and reporting to the Executive General Manager of Exploration, you’ll drive safe, strategic leadership of the regional exploration team to unlock discoveries in this richly mineralised terrain. Your responsibilities will include: Provide decisive leadership to a high-performing exploration team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence. Plan and execute geological, geochemical, and geophysical programs across tenements, including PoW lodgement, heritage surveys, and drilling Maintain a robust target pipeline, prioritising prospects and guiding exploration decisions based on technical outcomes and strategic value. Oversee budgets, schedules, and cost control, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with company financial protocols. Coordinate personnel and contractors, ensuring proper induction, training, supervision, and roster management across all field activities. Ensure compliance and reporting, including QAQC, technical updates, Form 5 submissions, and statutory rehabilitation obligations. Engage stakeholders and support growth, managing tenement portfolios, liaising with government bodies, and reviewing new business opportunities. Fulfill all statutory obligations as the designated Exploration Manager, ensuring full regulatory compliance. About You You’re a seasoned exploration geologist with a passion for leading teams to discovery. With extensive industry experience and a solid technical foundation, you bring strategic thinking, operational discipline, and a proactive approach to safety and leadership. You thrive in dynamic field settings, balancing compliance, performance, and innovation to drive exploration success. To succeed in this role, you’ll need: A tertiary degree in Geology or a comparable discipline Extensive relevant industry experience, with a specialisation in gold exploration Strong leadership in managing exploration teams, budgets, work programs, and reporting Proficiency in Micromine, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office suite Familiarity with WA mining legislation, including DMPE, Mining Act, Native Title and Heritage Acts A proactive and responsible approach to safety and people management High technical proficiency in exploration geology and target generation Sound understanding of the JORC Code and its application in resource reporting and exploration best practices Completion of the required qualification to hold the statutory position of Exploration Manager under Western Australian mining regulations You will be based in our new CBD corporate head office, with a competitive, industry-benchmarked salary with short- and long-term performance bonuses, benefits and strong support for your career, wellbeing, and life outside of work.
