Senior Integration Engineer – 6-Month Contract Extension We’re seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to design, build, and optimise integration solutions across both cloud (AWS) and on-premises environments. This is an initial 6-month contract with a strong view to extend , offering flexible hybrid working (typically 1 day in the office per week ). What You’ll Be Doing Integration Design & Build (40%) – Act as a subject matter expert, delivering secure, cost-effective, and scalable integration solutions (APIs, events, file transfer, data streaming), while promoting quality engineering practices. Strategic Input (30%) – Collaborate on platform roadmaps, drive optimisation, and support lifecycle improvements, aligning operations with business goals and cost efficiency. Platform Optimisation & Governance (20%) – Enhance internal processes, maximise use of existing technology investments, and ensure compliance, governance, and documentation. Reliability & Operations (10%) – Troubleshoot and resolve issues, lead problem management, oversee change processes, and provide escalation support for critical incidents. What You’ll Bring Strong background in modern integration engineering , spanning APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices. Deep knowledge of AWS cloud , networking, server architecture, and security protocols. Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka or equivalent , Docker/Kubernetes , and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). Familiarity with DevOps and Agile ways of working.
