Full-time Surveying Technician available in Subiaco WA 6008. These projects demand exceptionally accurate surveying, precise set-out of critical infrastructure, continuous monitoring of structural tolerances, and real-time design adjustments based on evolving ground conditions. To meet the scope and technical demands of ongoing works, Silverstone requires a highly experienced Surveying Technician to provide specialist surveying technical support and oversight on its major remote civil infrastructure projects across the Pilbara region. Position Responsibilities and Tasks Establish and maintain high-precision survey control networks across multiple project sites. Supervise and verify critical set-outs for underground services, foundations and modular assemblies. Collect, record and evaluate spatial information using total-station, GPS and photogrammetric equipment. Assist engineers and surveyors with planning, field data organisation and progress verification. Prepare, edit and revise plans, maps and drawings to support design, construction and as-built records. Develop and implement site-specific surveying procedures compliant with Australian engineering and safety standards. Perform routine computations and plot preliminary data for construction layouts and quality control. Inspect work and materials for compliance with technical specifications and regulatory standards. Interpret drawings, codes and project documentation for field application. Coordinate surveying work programs across multiple disciplines and locations. Mentor junior surveying technicians, providing practical training in advanced techniques for remote and resource-sector environments. Qualifications and Skills Essential: Certificate IV in Surveying or higher qualification. Minimum 5 years' experience in civil, mining or infrastructure surveying. Proficiency in surveying instruments, GPS, total station, and data-processing software (e.g. Trimble, AutoCAD, 12d Model). Strong understanding of Australian engineering, safety and quality standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and detail. Effective communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work independently across remote and brownfield project sites. Desirable: Experience in resource-sector or infrastructure surveying (mining, power, or transport projects). Familiarity with laser scanning, UAV photogrammetry, and 3D modelling. Mentoring or supervision experience within survey teams.
