Disability Support Workers – Coffs Harbour Region Meaningful local roles | Consistent hours | Supportive environment We’re seeking experienced and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide one-on-one and two-on-one supports to two valued clients in the Coffs Harbour region. If you’re looking for rewarding work where every shift makes a real difference, we’d love to hear from you. 2:1 Support – Complex Care Role You’ll be supporting a male client with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Spinal Cord Injury who requires a high level of personal care and consistency. He is bed bound and requires support from two workers per shift. A great sense of humour and the ability to follow direction closely are essential — he knows what works best for him and appreciates support workers who respect that. What You’ll Be Doing: Personal care and manual handling (hoist use essential) Bowel care (enemas every second day) Catheter care Maintaining comfort, safety, and dignity Working collaboratively with another support worker Shift Times (7 days per week): 8:30am – 1:00pm 10:00am – 1:00pm Local applicants preferred due to short shifts. 1:1 Support – Community & Home-Based Role You’ll be supporting a mature female client who has complete hearing impairment and is non-verbal. She communicates through lip reading and gestures, so clear, patient communication is key. She enjoys sewing, watching movies, and sitcoms, and appreciates support workers who are calm, kind, and attentive. What You’ll Be Doing: Personal care and domestic support Meal preparation and medication prompting Community access and companionship Using gestures or basic Auslan to communicate effectively Shifts: Wednesdays and Fridays, 10:00am – 1:00pm Local applicants preferred due to short shifts. About You You’re compassionate, dependable, and comfortable providing personal and complex care. You respect each person’s preferences and bring a positive, professional attitude to every shift.
