Job Title: Delivery Truck Driver Location: Sunshine Coast, QLD Reports: Director Job Type: Full Time Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 Skills and Experience: The candidate must have at least 1 year of relevant experience (Mandatory) Strong communication and customer service skills. Dependable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety and quality. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks in a construction environment. Problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges, such as road or site access issues. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate heavy vehicles to deliver essential goods, including heavy parcels and general freight, to industrial areas, shopping centers, and residential locations. Pick up consignments from industrial and residential areas and transport them to the depot for sorting and further delivery, including priority and road express services. Manoeuvre vehicles into position for safe loading and unloading at warehouses, depots, and delivery sites. Load and unload vehicles using lifting and tipping devices, ensuring correct handling of heavy or fragile items. Observe all workplace health and safety requirements when loading, unloading, and operating vehicles. Conduct regular quality and safety checks of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy and meet operational standards. Estimate weights to comply with load limitations and ensure safe distribution of weight across the vehicle. Ensure goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent movement, loss, or damage during transit. Verify loading and delivery documentation, check the condition of goods, and obtain signatures or certification of deliveries. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled delivery times and customer service requirements. Maintain delivery records, vehicle logs, and paperwork in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
