We're seeking a skilled Accountant to join a high-performing Finance & Business Services team based at our Clients Headquarters in Darwin . This is a full-time contracting opportunity commencing November 2025 through to June 2026, offering a competitive salary and the chance to contribute to meaningful financial operations. Key Responsibilities Deliver accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Prepare month-end accruals and management reports. Manage tax compliance including Payroll Tax, BAS, FBT, and Taxable Payments. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and support internal/external reporting. Develop and review accounting policies and procedures. Provide financial training and support across the organisation. Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with accounting standards. What We're Looking For Essential: Strong experience in taxation and financial reporting in a commercial environment. Advanced analytical skills and understanding of complex accounting concepts. Proven ability to prepare and analyse budgets and financial reports. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proactive, self-managed approach with strong problem-solving capabilities. High proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting or business. CPA or CAANZ membership (or eligibility). Experience in corporate accounting environments. Familiarity with activity-based costing and reporting tools (e.g., Pronto, Cognos). You MUST be living in DARWIN with full working rights to be considered.
