About the role: what you'll be doing As a City and Lifestyle Reporter, you will: Break news: Be the first to report on significant food, entertainment and retail developments, community issues, and the cultural trends shaping the city. Write with insight: Produce compelling news and feature articles that explore what it means to live in Canberra, from in-depth profiles to sharp analysis of urban change. Engage a digital audience: Create and adapt stories for all our platforms. This includes compelling short-form video and using digital storytelling and platforms to break news, source stories and build community. Build a diverse network: Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts across arts, entertainment and hospitality. About you: What you'll bring The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with a genuine fascination for how cities work and evolve. We are looking for: Proven journalism experience: A track record of unearthing stories, meeting tight deadlines, and producing accurate, clean copy in a fast-paced news environment. A digital-native mindset: You are comfortable and creative in digital and social media spaces, with practical skills in shooting and editing short-form video to create engaging stories.
