Our client, a leading engineering company based in Central Queensland, is seeking qualified Welders and Metal Fabricators to join their team. These Fulltime opportunities are available both in company workshops and for field service roles across the Rockhampton and Gladstone regions . Key Responsibilities: Fabricate structural steel and material handling equipment. Work from samples and engineered drawings with a high standard of workmanship. Perform build-up work internal and external using MIG, Sub Arc, and Hot Spray. Carry out general fabrication duties including grinding, cutting (friction & gas), welding (GMAW, TIG, Stick), polishing, cropping, pressing, heat treatment, and stress relieving of steels. Ensure thorough task analysis and safe work practices are completed. Adhere to company procedures and Quality Assurance (QA) processes. Support workshop operations and collaborate with team members to maintain a harmonious, efficient environment. Maintain communication with leading hands and workshop managers. Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of designated workplace and workshop areas. Requirements: At least 1 year full-time welding/fabrication experience. Structural steel welding and fabrication experience. Ability to interpret technical drawings. High level of workmanship and attention to quality standards. Hold a Welding or Fabrication Trade Qualification or similar. You may require other qualifications and inductions prior to start. Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
