Your next career opportunity The Associate Director, Professional Education Design provides strategic leadership across all aspects of learning strategy, program architecture, and pedagogical design for MPE’s professional education portfolio. This senior role works at both the program and system levels to shape the frameworks that underpin Melbourne’s professional education offerings — ensuring they deliver measurable outcomes for clients, learners, and the University. Reporting to the Director, MPE, you will lead the design of program methodologies and frameworks, working collaboratively across MPE and faculty teams in a highly matrixed environment. You wi ll engage directly with clients to understand their strategic priorities, capability needs, and challenges, while collaborating with academic and business development teams to ensure quality, scalability, and impact. Your responsibilities will include: Designing for Impact: Shaping program designs collaboratively to address client and learner needs, ensuring real-world application. Program Architecture and Methodology: Develop ing scalable design models and maintain ing standards for program structure and assessment. Pedagogical Leadership: Appl ying adult learning theory to program designs and collaborat ing with academics to validate learning outcomes. Learner and Sponsor Experience: Defin ing learner journeys and design ing interventions to maximise engagement and satisfaction. You may also: Have a postgraduate qualification in education, instructional design, or equivalent experience. Demonstrate strong expertise in curriculum mapping and assessment strategy. Possess effective leadership skills in cross-functional design and delivery teams. Be familiar with learning analytics and feedback systems for continuous improvement.
