Commencing in January 2026, St Peters Lutheran College is seeking to appoint a Horse Riding Assistant on a 1-year contract. Located just outside the town of Crows Nest on Queensland’s Darling Downs, established in 1974 Ironbark is a 600 hectare Outdoor Education Centre and Working Farm operated by St Peters Lutheran College. At St Peters every Year 9 student undertakes this iconic 5 week immersive experience as part of their final year of Junior High. Ironbark seeks to challenge, grow and form St Peters young people through the 4 key elements of the program – outdoor education, farm skills, environmental awareness and community living. The Ironbark Program provides staff with the opportunity to make a transformative difference in the lives of young people. The Horse Riding Assistant supports the daily operation of the College’s horse riding Program, assisting with horse care, riding lessons, and stable management.
