To continue driving these standards forward, they are now seeking a WHS and Compliance Advisor to join their established team, to provide site-based support to one of their large, high-risk sites, as well as compliance support across their ANZ operations. About the WHS Advisor Role The successful candidate will work closely with site managers to drive engagement, proactively identify areas for improvement, and promote a strong safety culture. The position also involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance, contribute to the development and maintenance of their certifications, and ensure consistent safety standards. This role reports directly to the Health and Safety Manager. Duties: Support and implement WHSE procedures, policies and tools across site Run site WHSE Committee meetings and coach committee members and managers as WHSE champions Conduct incident investigations, safety inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring timely closeout of actions Assist in the development and implementation of ANZ WHSE Management Systems to align with ISO standards 9001, 14001, and 45001 Engage with regulators (e.g. SafeWork, EPA) where required, ensuring notices or actions are escalated and resolved Design and deliver training programs to frontline operators, team leaders, and managers, embedding safe practices into daily operations Partner with leadership to identify skill gaps and coordinate relevant training and upskilling initiatives Candidate Requirements: Previous experience in a WHSE role, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or related high-risk industries Knowledge of WHS legislation and ability to implement practical safety solutions Cert IV in Work Health & Safety, or a relevant discipline (candidates without formal certification may be considered if they have relevant experience) Experience in Return-to-Work Coordination desirable.
