We are seeking a strategic and collaborative leader for the role of Head, Research Services . This position plays a key role in shaping research strategy, supporting academic excellence, and driving innovation in line with the University of Sydney Business School Strategy 2023-2027 . You will help researchers and teams reach their full potential by enabling a high-performing, well-supported and forward-thinking research environment. Your key responsibilities will be to: lead strategic planning, policy development and operational support to advance the Business School’s research priorities in alignment with University strategy oversee research administration, ethics and integrity processes, and internal funding schemes to ensure effective and compliant research operations build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance research impact, collaboration and funding opportunities manage and develop the Research Unit team and HDR programs to foster a high-performing culture and deliver a quality researcher and student experience. About you possess expertise in the higher education and research landscape, with a sharp ability to translate strategic challenges into high impact, outcome-driven initiatives demonstrate strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build trusted relationships across complex environments bring a track record of leading high-performing teams, driving operational excellence and aligning workforce capability with strategic research and business objectives think strategically and act decisively, applying sound judgement to deliver solutions that enable researchers and students to thrive and achieve their full potential.
