Key purpose of the role: The Strategy Analyst plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of the ASX Listings business by uncovering market opportunities and delivering strategic insights that drive innovation and growth. Through rigorous analysis and effective business management, this role empowers the business to make informed decisions ensuring ASX remain a leader in global capital markets. Your Team The role is part of the Strategy team within the Listings business. The Listings business is responsible for attracting and retaining listed equity, debt and investment products, including developing and executing the overarching strategy for the ASX listings business. It is one-of-four revenue generating functions at ASX and is responsible for over $200m in annual revenues. The Strategy team supports the operations and growth of the Listings business. Your responsibilities Support the development and execution of the business strategy. Research domestic and global markets to understand industry trends, policy settings and potential growth opportunities. Analyse diverse data sets and generate insights to facilitate strategic decision making and business operations. Project manage and draft periodic reporting on business performance and strategic initiatives. Assist with preparation of discussion, board and strategic offsite papers. Produce high quality and compelling presentation materials to support business development and marketing efforts. Draft responses to inbound media enquiries, with a focus on highlighting ASX’s key strengths and value proposition Your experience and qualifications Must have Tertiary qualifications in law, economics, finance, business or related field. 3-5 years’ post-graduate experience in a legal or financial markets environment. Strong data analysis skills. Proven ability to research and interpret regulatory and policy settings. Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills. Attention to detail. Proven ability to prioritise and execute on a wide variety of different tasks with compressed time frames. Nice to have Experience with financial data systems including Iress, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Dealogic, Morningstar Familiarity with principles of equity and debt capital markets Familiarity with ASX Listing Rules, Corporations Act and global market practices We make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values.
