About the Role The TACT Field Instructor is a seasoned industry expert, possessing deep knowledge, skills, and experience in training delivery and organisational support. As part of Allambi Care’s external training division, TACT, this role is responsible for providing tailored training and consultancy services to external clients. A key focus of the role is facilitating Cornell University’s ‘Therapeutic Crisis Intervention’ (TCI) programs, delivering training at client locations and hotels across Australia. Frequent travel is required to meet this demand. Other responsibilities will align with the scope of work provided by TACT. In addition, the TACT Field Instructor will leverage their expertise to support the internal development of Allambi Care staff and programs on an as-needed basis, enhancing the organisation’s overall capabilities. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Ongoing Tasks: Follow the Learning and Development team's administrative and monitoring processes, including attending scheduled meetings, reflective practice sessions, and staff supervisions. Collaborate with management to achieve optimal outcomes for staff and clients, with a strong focus on upholding Allambi's Vision, Mission, and Framework. Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge, ensuring training content remains current and relevant. Manage and maintain accurate training records, participant feedback, and other relevant documentation. Utilise diverse training methods, such as e-learning, tutorial sessions, or coaching, as appropriate to meet training needs. Ensure clear communication and uphold a high level of professionalism in all interactions. Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Organisational Development. Implement effective time and task management strategies to ensure productivity. S upport the successful planning, organisation and enhancement of TACT’s ‘Therapeutic Crisis Intervention’ programs in Australia Work in conjunction with both the Allambi Care TACT staff and Residential Childcare Project staff to ensure Allambi Care and Cornell’s organisational outcomes are met. This will include ongoing enhancement opportunities. Tasks will include. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders around the dates, locations and scheduling of annual trainings. Provide supports and feedback to current Instructors and identified trainers to enhance facilitation and knowledge of the TCI system and individual skillset. Facilitate various TCI Train the Trainer and Trainer Update Programs as a certified Instructor. Face to Face training expectations will meet a minimum 100 up to 130 days training with locations pending Client requests within Australia. Minimum capacity numbers may be subject to any imposed travel restrictions, health recommendations or reduced capacity to travel or facilitate. Virtual training is inclusive of work from home arrangements. Complete the (Pre/During & Post) course requirements as advised by Cornell University for TCI direct trainings, train the trainer courses, updates and virtual trainings. Liaise and plan with Co-Instructor. This involves tasks like unpacking and setting the training room, discussing participants and agencies, practicing role plays and scheduling testing order etc. Complete participant feedback, evaluations and assessment requirements and send to Cornell University recommending and justifying certification decisions. Complete post training summary and requirements Ongoing Tasks TCI Support organisational and professional enquiries regarding TCI and consultancy opportunities. Liaise with external organisations around TCI related questions, fidelity & support needs. Consultancy/Technical Assistance with organisations on a needs-basis. Support TCI Communities of Practice and Australian Instructor Gathering Selection criteria (please address in your cover letter): Required: High level knowledge of the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention System and Human Services Sector. High level training facilitation skills with experience in adult learning theories and various training techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues, and communicate effectively with staff and external stakeholders. Proficiency in preparing, delivering, and documenting training sessions and assessments using approved delivery packages. Flexibility to work across different time zones, including nights and travel outside regular hours to meet training demands. Advanced organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks efficiently Strong computer literacy skills and proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint Strong collaboration skills, working transparently with both internal and external teams Demonstrated experience and commitment to promoting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and well-being. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Experience in family and children’s services, residential childcare and adolescent issues, or educational settings is essential. Proven experience working within community systems and collaborating with staff across various levels in both the public and private sectors. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Highly organised with a strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
