The Role Reporting to the Plant Superintendent and based in Wilberforce, NSW. This position carries out efficient and effective mechanical servicing and repairs to Council’s fleet of trucks, passenger vehicles, plant and machinery. About You You will have sound verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to working in a safe manner and following workplace health and safety policies and procedures. Essential Criteria Motor Mechanic or Plant Mechanic Qualification Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Council Trade Certificate Vehicle Registration Certificate Experience with truck and car repairs and maintenance Experience with construction plant repair and maintenance The right to live and work in Australia Class C Drivers Licence WHS General Construction Work in NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) Successful applicants will be required to undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration Desirable Workcover permit to operate Backhoe, Loader, Forklift, Mobile Hiab crane Class MR or HR Licence Confined Space Entry Certificate Auto electrical experience Welding experience The Rewards An attractive salary will be offered to the successful applicant commensurate with qualification, skills, and experience.
