The Fun Starts Here, Every Game, Every Visit! Are you looking for a fun way to give back? As a Games and Puzzle Volunteer, you will provide companionship and meaningful engagement for older people in Residential Aged Care. Spend time sitting alongside one another enjoying the challenge of completing a puzzle together, or perhaps playing simple card games, dominoes or scrabble, depending on the ability of the residents we also have an indoor floor games (bowling, balloon tennis and so on). Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare plus NDIS Worker Screening Check • We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am- 11:30am and 1- 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
