Role Summary MBTP seeks an experienced Software Tester to join our specialist consulting practice for a significant client engagement in Sydney. This is a genuine vacancy for an immediate business need. You will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients’ SAP projects by designing and executing test cases and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT). Key Responsibilities Specify, develop, and write test plans and test scripts for SAP modules, including Payroll, HCM, Finance, or Procurement. Perform and document system and user acceptance testing and use automated test software applications to validate SAP software applications, functionality, and integrity. Research, consult, analyse, and evaluate system program needs. Identify technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures, and methods. Test, debug, diagnose, and correct errors and faults in SAP applications within established testing protocols and quality standards. Write and maintain application and test system requirements, designs, and technical specifications in accordance with agreed standards. Write, update, and maintain technical programs, end-user documentation, and operational procedures. Document test results, defect reports, and related documentation. Perform risk analysis to identify and document potential risks and strategies for software design and process improvement. Manage implementation and automation of SAP software and application deployments. Develop and update operational materials to inform continuous improvement and delivery strategies. Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and management and security of information systems. Perform risk management and assurance for threats, including encryption, decryption, and risk mitigation. Collaborate with business stakeholders, SAP functional consultants, and technical teams. Skills & Experience Required Demonstrated direct experience testing SAP modules (Payroll, HCM, Finance, or Procurement). Hands-on experience with industry-standard test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., HP ALM, Jira, Tricentis qTest). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and precise documentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within hybrid onsite/remote arrangements. Desired Experience Prior consulting or client-facing experience is highly regarded. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or cloud-based SAP solutions is beneficial. ISTQB Foundation or similar testing certifications are an advantage. Additional Information On-site attendance in Sydney is required for at least 2–3 days per week.
