Reporting to the Head of IT, this is a full-time permanent position located in Sydney, Australia and is available immediately. This role offers some unique opportunities such as working with infrastructure that is 100% in the cloud, High Performance Computing technologies and DevOps automation. Responsibilities include: Building & maintaining a High Performance Computing (HPC) cloud platform on AWS Maintenance and monitoring of RHEL / Centos / Ubuntu cloud servers Installation, configuration and automation of Linux based lab equipment Installation of third-party EDA software on cloud infrastructure General server & network infrastructure support Implementation of Intrusion Detection and Prevention systems Ad-Hoc Linux / Windows / Mac escalation support for Service Desk Other DevOps tasks & projects as required Essential skills: (you must have these skills to be considered): 5 years experience AWS expert Linux guru (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu) Strong understanding of IP network & security infrastructure Scripting experience with Bash & Python (or similar) Experience with disk storage technologies Functional working knowledge of git Bonus skills (if you have these, you can stand out among the crowd but don’t sweat it if you don’t): Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible and Terraform Experience with Slurm or IBM Spectrum LSF or any HPC technologies Experience with AWS EC2 F1 fpga instances Experience with NoMachine (or other VNC) virtual desktop software Experience with CI/CD implementations on Bitbucket Experience with Google Workspace Who we are: Morse Micro is Australia’s largest semiconductor company building Wi-Fi HaLow (802.11ah) chips for the Internet of Things (IoT).
