About the role AGL has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join our renewables division in Mount Beauty supporting 14 Hydro Power Electric stations in NSW and Victoria. The position is based in our Mount Beauty office , in the heart of the Kiewa Valley with Falls Creek and the Alpine National Park at your doorstep. Mount Beauty is the centre for Mountain Biking, Bushwalking, Skiing/snowboarding and other outdoor activities, along with quality educational and health infrastructure. What you will be doing As Maintenance Planner – Hydro, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and scheduling of maintenance and defect works across hydro operations: Develop comprehensive job packs for planned work activities, including documentation such as work instructions, drawings, material lists, JSEA’s, equipment data sheets, commissioning sheets, and access requirements. Plan and schedule routine maintenance activities in collaboration with maintenance teams and contract partners. Manage contracts through effective planning, scheduling, and review processes. Ensure timely processing of secondary actions and support continuous improvement in maintenance execution. Coordinate procurement of materials, resources, and services to support maintenance and project delivery. What you will bring Trade qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline. Experience in contractor management and working with SAP systems (CMMS) / Prometheus is highly regarded. Background in hydro plant operations or other heavy industry environments, or in a similar planning/scheduling role. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers. Willingness to travel to operational sites for plant inspections on a monthly basis.
