Tippler's Tap is located at South Bank. Our kitchen works at a fast pace, and work schedules are flexible, including weekends. We are looking for a mentally and physically strong, reliable apprentice who can handle the demands of a busy kitchen, and is serious about building a long-term career in the culinary industry. Training provided. As an apprentice cook , you will receive training in: Basic culinary skills and knife skills Knowledge of ingredients and menu preparation Safe and proper use of commercial kitchen equipment Kitchen procedures, hygiene, and sanitation standards Main Duties - your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Assisting the chef with meal preparation and cooking Learning kitchen procedures and duties in food prep Working under the supervision of the chef Operating commercial equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stoves Serving food when required Cleaning duties including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and sanitation Assisting in other areas of food preparation and storage About You: Passionate about the food industry and career-driven Punctual, reliable, and accountable Mentally and physically prepared to handle the demands of a busy kitchen Team player with a positive and respectful attitude Flexible to work different shifts as required Well-presented and professional in appearance Location & Transport Our restaurant is located in South Bank, with easy access to public transport options.
