About the Role As the Marketing Manager for CRM and Privacy you will be responsible for building deeper customer relationships through Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and championing data privacy across our marketing and customer-facing activities. The Marketing Manager sits at the intersection of customer understanding, technology, and compliance, driving key principles through strategy and execution. You will lead the vision for direct customer communication: leveraging data and technology to create personalised, value-add experiences that boost loyalty and drive growth. Critically, you will also serve as the company’s Privacy Officer – the operational lead for data privacy, ensuring what we do is transparent, compliant, and reinforces customer trust. This position reports directly to the General Manager of Marketing and Strategy and is based at our National Sales Company Office in Richmond, operating on a hybrid schedule with four days in the office. Responsibilities CRM Strategy & Vision: Develop and evolve the long-term CRM strategy and roadmap, integrating data privacy frameworks to align with overarching business objectives and elevate the customer experience. Customer Engagement & Multi-Channel Campaigns : Lead the strategy for direct customer communications, overseeing a team responsible for delivering impactful multi-channel CRM campaigns (e.g., eDM, SMS, Ford App) and seamlessly integrating them into broader vehicle, retail, and service marketing efforts. Customer Journey Optimization : Drive continuous improvements to the Customer 4 Life (C4L) program and lead management processes, cultivating a dynamic customer ecosystem that fosters genuine, lasting relationships across the entire shop, buy, and own journey. CRM Platform Implementation & Advocacy: Oversee the successful implementation and adoption of Salesforce as the core CRM platform across marketing, sales, and service functions. Champion the voice of the customer to identify and resolve process and system inefficiencies, particularly those impacting Dealer operations and cross-functional workflows. Connected Services Integration: Integrate connectivity features and services (e.g., Ford App, OTA Software Updates, Connected Services, Data Services) seamlessly across the ownership journey, delivering tangible benefits to customers, Dealers, and Ford. Data Privacy Compliance Leadership: Serve as the operational lead for data privacy compliance, spearheading improvement projects, process enhancements, and internal training initiatives for consumer and connected vehicle data. Support the review of privacy policies and coordinate incident handling and response with relevant stakeholders (CRC, OGC, Connected Vehicle Data team). Vendor & Budget Management : Manage relationships with key external vendors, agencies, and technology partners (e.g., Salesforce, marketing agencies) to ensure effective delivery of CRM platforms, campaigns, and privacy solutions. Oversee associated budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and optimal return on investment. Performance Reporting : Drive the development and deployment of comprehensive reporting on key metrics across CRM, Connectivity, and Privacy to inform strategic decision-making and demonstrate program effectiveness. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need a blend of strategic thinking, operational execution capabilities, technical understanding, and strong interpersonal skills. Qualifications Holds a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Marketing, or a related field. 8 years in Marketing Communications and CRM. Experience in the automotive industry is highly advantageous. Skills Exceptional project management skills with emphasis on strong planning, problem-solving, managing multiple projects concurrently, and attention to detail. Ability to take complex technical information and interpret it for diverse audiences, particularly for consumer, Dealer and internal understanding. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to (and collaborate with) a wide variety of stakeholders.
